Warren Averett Staffing and Recruiting is working with an established family owned business in Guntersville, AL to identify an ambition accounting professional to join their finance team.  The ideal candidate will have more than 3 years of experience in the private sector.


  • Support the CFO in carrying out the responsibilities of the Finance / Accounting Department in such a manner that will allow the CFO to spend a greater portion of time on Financial Statement preparation and analysis, Budget and Variance issues, and Forecasting.
  • Assist with monthly reporting including account reconciliations, making journal entries and producing financial reporting
  • Support operations on all contracts, subcontracts etc. 
  • Manage DOT contract process
  • Process deposits
  • Weekly billing for material sales
  • Provide analytical support to shop operations
  • Assist CFO in managing non accounting areas such as IT
  • Other duties as assigned


  • Bachelors degree in accounting, or a Bachelors degree in business with emphasis in accounting, is required. Degree(s) must be from a credible college or university
  • Construction accounting experience preferred
  • Ability to manage multiple/changing  tasks throughout the day .
  • Must be highly skilled in dealing with financial and numeric data.
  • Must be highly skilled in use of Excel Spreadsheets.
  • Must have very good verbal skills.
  • Must have excellent work habits, including a willingness to work the hours necessary to get the job done, especially when important deadlines cause greater than normal departmental pressures.
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in accounting is required.
