Warren Averett Staffing and Recruiting is seeking a experienced office professional for an established company in the Southeast.  The ideal candidate will be responsible for the general operations of the office and will require a proactive, enthusiastic person to support and grow company operations and improve office systems.  


  • Maintain office services by organizing office operations and procedures; preparing payroll; controlling correspondence; designing filing systems; reviewing and approving supply requisitions; assigning and monitoring clerical functions
  • Provide historical reference by defining procedures for retention, protection, retrieval, transfer, and disposal of records and documents
  • Maintain office efficiency by planning and implementing office systems, layouts, and equipment procurement
  • Design and implement office policies by establishing standards and procedures; measuring results against standards; making necessary adjustments
  • Complete operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and following up on work results
  • Guide office staff
  • Recruiting, selecting, orienting, and training employees
  • Maintain professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; participating in professional societies
  • Achieve financial objectives by preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures; analyzing variances; initiating corrective actions
  • Coordinating appointments and meetings and managing staff calendars and schedule
  • Supervising, mentoring, training, and coaching our office staff and delegating assignments to ensure maximum productivity
  • Accurately and promptly maintain record of all charges incurred by a proceeding
  • Correctly and meticulously input all information for every proceeding
  • Print, bind and mail transcripts and/or oversee production of same
  • Scan, count, and bind exhibits and/or oversee production of same
  • Answer incoming calls
  • Process mail and ship packages/transcripts/exhibits daily
  • Posting files on electronic repository
  • Invoicing and collections


  • 5 years of experience as an office manager
  • Proficient with multiple software applications
  • Fast-learner and self-motivated
  • Personable, articulate, knowledgeable, and professional in communication
  • Highly organized, effective at communicating, tracking budgets, delegating, managing processes, supervising, developing standards, promoting process improvement, and reporting skills
  • Respond to client inquiries regarding products and services
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite of programs

Preferred Requirements

  • Experience with ReporterBase 8
  • Prior employment at a court reporting or law firm
  • Experience in reading, analyzing, and interpreting general legal and/or governmental regulations
