Warren Averett Staffing and Recruiting is seeking an experienced Corporate Accounting Manager for a growing company in Birmingham, AL. The ideal candidate will have at least 4 years of Corporate Accounting experience.


The Corporate Accounting Manager is responsible for assisting in the growth and development of the company’s clerical team, as well as working independently and with other team members on special projects and daily accounting functions, including:

  • Enthusiastically learning all aspects of the existing accounting process
  • Readily acquiring knowledge on all aspects of the business to learn how to better support other departments and their needs
  • Willing to encouragingly contribute to a positive work environment
  • Consistently proposing solutions and sharing thoughts and suggestions to improve accounting policies and procedures
  • Readily taking on whatever tasks and projects are given, which will vary from day to day and will often deviate from original plans
  • Exemplifying a natural inclination to ask questions and search for understanding of concepts, leading to fielding questions and seizing opportunities to train and develop others
  • Continuously providing other managers and departments with useful tools to improve operations
  • Skillfully working with accounting and other department leaders to identify, hire, and train new team members in accounting processes including, but not limited to, accounts receivable and accounts payable
  • Ability and desire to travel is essential
  • Excel proficiency is required
  • Industry experience and/or experience with Legend/ProfitMaster/Fusion software is a plus


  • BS or BA in Accounting or comparable experience
  • Solid technical accounting knowledge, gained either through experience or education
  • Strong analytical and organizational skills
  • Proven ability to multitask and see projects through to completion with minimal supervision
  • Exemplary verbal and written communication skills
