Warren Averett Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a talented accountant to assist an established company in Auburn, AL. 

Responsibilities

  • Process daily cash payments received in the bank account to student accounts in SalesForce
  • Reconcile cash processed in SalesForce to payments posted in NetSuite
  • Meet with students who owe tuition and fees, process payment, as well as, provide updated (SOF) Statement of Fees as needed
  • Create sponsored student invoicing, including monthly room and board charge(s) for each student
  • Management of outstanding accounts receivable, including coordination with corporate revenue team on credit memos, student refunds and write-offs
  • Process all vendor invoices through the AP document management software for routing and approval in compliance with corporate policy
  • Provide excellent customer service to students, staff, and vendors through consistent, courteous, and timely communication
  • Use tracking sheet from Student Services to ensure alignment with housing invoices from the University. All variances are to be researched and communicated to the Student Services team for resolution
  • Month End – responsible for reconciliation of cash, A/R, A/P, I/C, PPD and other GL related accounts, as needed, for the monthly close
  • Assist the Staff Accountant with the preparation of the monthly financial package
  • Participation in the monthly close meetings with the corporate team
  • Contribute ideas for improving internal processes, systems, and procedures
  • Ad hoc projects as needed

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in accounting or business related field
  • Experience with Accounts Receivable a plus
  • Proven expertise utilizing Microsoft Office products, primarily Excel
  • Ability to work independently and also as a productive member of a team
  • Detailed-oriented and exceptional organizational skills
  • Strong customer service orientation and communication skills
  • Strong interpersonal skills required to effectively develop and maintain strong working relationships across all levels within the organization
  • Eligibility to work in the United States without sponsorship
