Warren Averett Staffing & Recruiting is seeking a User Support professional to join a growing company in Birmingham, AL. The Ideal candidate will have at least two years of help-desk support experience.

Responsibilities

  • The Computer Technician/User Support position is responsible for providing all areas of computer- related technical desktop support including installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of computers, peripherals, application software, local area network and telecommunication equipment and services
  • Standard day to day support via phone, email, Skype, Kace helpdesk system, and Screen Connect to troubleshoot hardware, software, and possible network issues
  • Standard helpdesk support
  • Image new PC's with RMS standard software
  • Follow a checklist to load all new workstation with the required software and peripherals
  • Travel and ship computers to the field offices as needed
  • Remove viruses or reload infected computers
  • Help with network password changes and locked accounts
  • Perform simple VOIP phone system changes (moves, adds, changes, pin resets, voicemail setup) as well as user support for features
  • Support mobile devices, which include iPhones, and iPads. This includes contacting provider to order new or replacement devices as needed
  • Setup (minor configuration) and travel to install field office file servers
  • Support for peripherals such as printers, copiers, scanners, fax machines, projectors, wireless devices

Requirements

  • Associates degree in computer technology and/or two years’ experience in troubleshooting, supporting computer software/hardware, basic networking, and peripherals
  • Current professional certification (i.e., A+, Microsoft certification) is a plus
  • Excellent customer service, interpersonal, organizational, and communication skills
  • Must be able to recognize priority issues and escalate them accordingly
  • Requires some physical activity (moving servers, installing equipment)
  • Some travel is required
  • Experience with PCs/Laptops, iPhones/iPads, Active Directory, Microsoft Office 2013 or Office 365, Symantec Endpoint Antivirus, ESET Antivirus, Wi-Fi, Ethernet Switches, and Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) clients is a plus
