Warren Averett is looking to add an IT professional to the Montgomery, AL Technology Group.  This position will join the Managed Services Team as a technical resource for hardware and software support specific to the Warren Averett Technology Group virtual private multi-tenant cloud infrastructure as directed by the Technical Services Manager. This position is primarily responsible for the daily monitoring, reporting and support of the Warren Averett Technology Group Disaster Recovery solution. In addition to these duties this individual will serve as an internal resource for research, development, project engineering and deployment.

Areas of focus include: Monitoring and maintenance of the Disaster Recovery service provided to subscribed clients. Monthly DR testing and reporting to support RTO and RPO requirements. Providing hardware and software support for all cloud services and systems hosted in the Warren Averett Technology Group managed service center. This position is directly supervised by the Technical Services Manager.


Some specific job responsibilities for this position include but are not limited to the following:

  • Developing and implementing of architecture/design changes to a multi-tenant infrastructure
  • Configuring and maintaining physical and logical network components
  • New client deployment and project assistance
  • Solutions deployment of private cloud hosting and services to existing Managed Service clients
  • Designing and deploying both hardware and software solutions
  • Capacity and resource planning
  • Researching, analyzing and implementing software patches or hardware changes as required
  • Monitoring and reporting of KPIs relevant to datacenter operational efficiencies
  • Provides client-focused IT datacenter services to new and existing Warren Averett Technology Group clients
  • Proactive maintenance of IT security policies and devices including firewalls, remote access administration, patch administration, and antivirus software
  • Obtain and/or maintain any relevant certifications for performing daily duties
  • Regularly ascertains client satisfaction to ensure effective service delivery with regard to all facets of network support or implementations.
  • Maintaining critical systems and services to include any and all facets of a network infrastructure such as servers, firewalls, switches, routing, Exchange, DNS, Active Directory, applications, backups, disaster recovery, telecom service, anti-virus, content filtering, etc.


  • Bachelors degree or higher with emphasis on Information Technology (relevant work experience with focus on IT engineering and consulting is acceptable).
  • 4+ years relevant IT experience
  • Proficient in the installation, configuration and management of VMware vSphere 5.x/6 ESXi and vCenter is required
  • Extensive and comprehensive IT experience and expertise related to network design and administration, network security, routers, switches, servers, firewalls, and end user devices.
  • Proficient in management of Microsoft Windows operating systems – Windows server is required
  • Experience with Lenovo server and storage solutions is a plus
  • NSX management and configuration is a plus
  • Unitrends UEB experience is a plus
  • Must be a self-starter, highly organized, and detail oriented.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Certifications strongly preferred: MCITP, MCSE. VCP, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, Security +
