Warren Averett Staffing and Recruiting is looking for an experienced accountant to manage the finances for an established business in the Florida Panhandle. The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of experience.
 

Responsibilities

  • Development of the annual budget, monthly and annual financial statements
  • Coordinate with management to prepare for monthly financial and operation review meetings
  • Maintenance of an adequate system of accounting records, and a comprehensive set of controls and budgets designed to mitigate risk, enhance the accuracy of the company's reported financial results
    • Responsible for cash management and risk management for multiple entities
    • Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable functions
    • Supervise/process payroll in a timely manner
    • Ensure that bank reconciliations are completed, timely
    • Provide financial analyses as needed, in particular for capital investments, pricing decisions, and contract negotiations
  • Coordinate with external CPA group for compliance with local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and tax filings
  • Define and document processes and procedures to promote uniform reporting
  • Assist in vendor management
  • Perform additional research and special projects as needed

Requirements

  • BS in Accounting, CPA preferred but not required
  • 10 + years of  accounting experience
  • Experience with a company in "high growth" mode
  • Exposure to architecture/professional services industry
  • Expert proficiency with Microsoft Suite with exposure to multiple General Ledger packages
