Warren Averett Staffing and Recruiting is looking for an experienced business professional for an established company in Pensacola, FL. The ideal candidate will have more than 5 years of experience.
 

Responsibilities

  • Overseeing the financial and accounting systems and related personnel
  • Preparing monthly budgets and financial statements
  • Oversight of all workers’ compensation general liability, automobile and health insurance
  • Reviewing all financial statements and ledgers for reasonableness and accuracy
    • Creation of monthly payment applications
    • Management and tracking of job costs
    • Assume ownership of payroll process with third party vendor
  • Preparing all sales taxes and filing forms with the state and local governments
  • Reviewing current processes for inefficiencies and develop plans to increase profitability
  • Month end close duties include:
    • Oversight and completion of:
      • Data Entry and Account coding
      • Billings and account reconciliations
      • Review of financial statements for variance analysis
      • Recording of adjusting journal entries, as necessary
  • Additional Duties
    • Complete projections and forecasting for future periods
    • Manage the exchange of information to external accountants
    • Additional office duties to ensure day to day operations run smoothly

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or equivalent experience
  • Previous experience working for a construction company, preferred
  • Must be technologically savvy and able to learn quickly
  • Ability to multi-task, work independently and be self-motivated
  • Be able to work well in a team environment
  • Ability to provide guidance and direction to department staff who are not direct reports
